It’s Your Night is the debut studio album by American R&B singer-songwriter James Ingram, released by Qwest/Warner Bros. Records on July 27, 1983. The album received four Grammy nominations. The album cut, “Party Animal” received a nomination for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance at the 26th Grammy Awards losing to “Billie Jean” by Michael Jackson. The following year, he received an additional three nominations, the album itself received a nomination for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance, and the top-twenty single, “Yah Mo B There” was nominated for Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals, winning the latter.
