The Shadow of Your Smile is the debut album by trumpeter Vadim Eilenkrig, released in 2009

Vadim Simovich Eilenkrig (born May 4, 1971 in Moscow ) is a Russian jazz trumpeter (also flugelhorn ) and music educator.

Eilenkrig’s father Sima Eilenkrig is a jazz saxophonist who has worked for many years in Estrada formations with Iossif Kobson and Lyudmila Gurtschenko . His son Vadim received a classical music education; he graduated from the State Schnittke Music Institute, Moscow State University of Arts and Culture and Aspirantur at the National Classical Maimonid Academy. After studying Eilenkrig worked in various jazz orchestras in Moscow, Anatoli Kroll , Oleg Lundstrem and as a soloist in the big band Igor Butmans , with the recordings ( Carnival of Jazz II ).
