1996 Herbie Hancock – The New Standard
The New Standard is the 35th studio album by legendary jazz pianist Herbie Hancock, released on February 19, 1996, through Verve Records. The album is celebrated for reinventing the concept of a “jazz standard” by applying complex jazz arrangements to contemporary rock, R&B, and pop songs of the late 20th century.
