Urs Wiesendanger

Urs Wiesendanger (born 19 August 1969 in Zürich ) is a Swiss pianist, drummer, singer, composer, singer-songwriter, producer and arranger.

Urs Wiesendanger began playing the piano at the age of three. He was introduced to drums by the drummer Pierre Favre and worked towards a career as a jazz drummer. At just 12 years old, he was already touring with the Swiss television big band and performing in various Swiss jazz clubs with his older brother, the jazz pianist Chris Wiesendanger.
In 1984, he first appeared as a composer of pop songs and also began working as a producer. This early production activity was to give his future path a new direction. According to his own statement, he was particularly influenced by the work of George Duke. (Website)
