Goodbye Yesterday is the second solo album by Composer, Arranger, Producer, Drummer, Keyboard player Kere Buchanan from Christchurch, New Zealand.
“I decided to go all out on this album. Not only to have strong content but to work really hard on having a far more cohesive sound throughout by utilising the same rhythm section & chief engineer on the entire project, then to add flavours from outside musicians (Guitarists/ Lead Vocalists/ Soloists etc).
I also had in mind to utilise some overseas musicians in the mix for the overall sound. I can’t express enough how much of a treat it was to hear Robbie Buchanan & Bill Champlin’s dropbox files of their performances as they came in. I had a few other Lead Vocalists cut ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ however when I heard Bill’s take on it, I just knew we had it + when we, (the rhythm section) tracked to Robbie’s Fender Rhodes part for ‘Until I Found You’ it felt so wonderful it was like he was in the room.”
