Mark Gray was an American jazz and fusion musician (piano, keyboard). Gray grew up in Indianapolis and studied at the music school of Indiana University. First recordings were made around 1976 with the flutist Art Webb. Over the following years, he played with jazz musicians such as Art Blakey, Sonny Rollins, Don Alias, Freddie Hubbard, Billy Hart, Hubert Laws, Teruo Nakamura and the Brecker Brothers; he also appeared with Gregory Hines and Phyllis. Together with the drummer Richie Morales, he led a jazz group. Gray also presented two solo jazz albums. In 1988, he and Joe Carroll founded the company Manic Moose Music, which produced music for films, advertising and television. According to Tom Lord, he was involved in 23 recording sessions between 1976 and 1990, including Bunky Green, Ron McClure, Bob Mintzer, Nathan Davis, Barry Finnerty and Jorge Dalto.

He died on 20th June 1999.
