Stephanie Spruill

Stephanie Spruill (http://www.spruillhousemusic.com/) is a singer-songwriter, percussionist, actor, author, vocal coach and entrepreneur born in Los Angeles, California, who studied at the Eddie Cantor Academy of Creative Talent and has since gone on to have a very successful career in the music industry.

Starting in the early 1970s she became a much sought after session musician and in the early 1990s she decided to channel her own music a little more and by 1994 had founded La Pantera Records and Spruill House Music Inc. which has led her to become a respected coach in the Los Angeles area, dealing with many national and international students.

Over the years she has worked as a singer, musician and/or arranger with many artists and has found herself touring with Julio Iglesias for 5 years and giving performances in the recording studio, on stage and in movies.  She has also performed for several members of royalty in various countries and has been around the world on tour several times.

As a songwriter she has written the theme song for the film The Velocity of Gary and has also written songs for singers such as John Lucien, Najee, Vesta and David T. Walker.  She has also either acted and/or sung in the movie soundtracks for American Hot Wax, Amistad, The Breakfast Club, Dances with Wolves, Forrest Gump, Mighty Joe Young, The Kid, Rosewood and The Tigger Movie and appeared in the TV series Beyond Belief, Entertainment Tonight, Married With Children and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and starred in the stage musical Sang Sister Sang.

Larue, Les McCann, Giorgio Moroder, Aaron Neville, Dolly Parton, Minnie Riperton, Diana Ross, Demis Roussos, Rufus, Talking Heads, Tina Turner, Luther Vandross, Gino Vanelli, Tom Scott, Wang Chung, The Weather Girls and Maurice White.
