Lasso From El Paso is a 1976 album by Kinky Friedman. “Sold American” was recorded live at Fort Collins, Colorado as part of Bob Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Revue.

Richard Samet “Kinky” Friedman (born November 1, 1944) is an American singer, songwriter, novelist, humorist, politician, defender of stray animals, and former columnist for Texas Monthly who styles himself in the mold of popular American satirists Will Rogers and Mark Twain.
