As a professional trumpet player for 40 years, I will say still my favorite Doc Severinsen Recording is Do It To It. I think he is at his top game. The rhythm section he used on these sessions is without a doubt one of the greatest of all time. The album recorded in 1977, and here in 2020 I feel it is as fresh as the day it was recorded. Very Hip Doc!
