Feel Your Dream is the second album from Roland Vazquez, released in 1981 on Headfirst.
Roland Vazquez (born July 4, 1951 in Pasadena , California ) is an American drummer in Latin Jazz , who has also emerged as a composer.Vazquez, who comes from a family of musicians, began playing the drums in 1963 under the influence of a concert by Mongo Santamaría. In Los Angeles he first appeared on Rhythm & Blues and Rock bands. After an accident in which he had to pause, he discovered in 1969 his compositional skills. He studied composition at Westminster College in Utah and began to apply his skills in his own band Urban Ensemble, founded in 1974. In 1977 he released with this combo his first works on the album The Music of Roland Vazquez. The result was the LA Jazz Ensemble, which included musicians like Patrice Rushen, Brian Lynch, Bennie Maupin, Anthony Jackson, Alex Acuña and Clare Fischer. In addition, Vazquez worked for Willie Bobo and was from 1978 to 1981 a member of Clare Fischer’s band Salsa Picante.
