Carlos Vega, born December 7, 1956 and died April 7, 1998 was an American drummer.
Based in Los Angeles, he was one of the most requested studio drummer of the 1980s and 1990s.
Carlos Vega was characterized by rhythmic foundation and Cuban influence. Very close to the rhythmic play of Jeff Porcaro, these two friends shared the studio sessions when an artist is looking for a ternary shuffle groove with excellent, a simple and effective rhythmic foundation.
He worked with James Taylor, Johnny Hallyday, Renaud, David Garfield, Lee Ritenour, Luis Miguel and many more.
